Our Savior’s Lutheran Church is a community. Whether we are gathered together for worship, service, or plain old fun, we do so as a community.

We come from various places in our lives, but we all come together ready to be transformed by the love, faith, and grace of Jesus Christ. This happens through the Word of God, Holy Communion, Baptism, and work of Christ within the community.
… to be Christ in the world.
Our gathering together and our transformation exist not for our own benefit, but for the sake of the world. In the world, we are called to be “little Christs,” as Martin Luther said, meaning that we represent Christ in the world in word and deed.

Worship at Our Savior’s
At Our Savior’s we believe that we encounter God through worship, are forgiven our sins in Jesus’ name, and receive the Holy Spirit for life and witness in the world.
Two opportunities to worship are available:
On Sunday mornings at 8:15 and 10:30 we worship using “Evangelical Lutheran Worship.” This is a traditional service that uses the order of worship the church has used almost since its beginning nearly 2000 years ago. We also usually use the Revised Common Lectionary on Sundays, which means that we are reading the same passages from the Bible each week as millions of other Christians around the world. During the school year, we do a “Sunday School Service” once a month on Sunday’s that is more contemporary and focuses on what the kids are learning in Sunday School.
On Wednesday nights during the school year we worship using a less formal service at 6:30. This shorter service includes drama, singing, messages, and prayer. We may use the lectionary for this service, or we may choose reading based on a theme or work through Biblical books.
As Lutherans we celebrate two sacraments. Communion, or the Lord’s Supper is celebrated on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month (as well as other random Sundays) and occasionally on Wednesdays. Baptisms are celebrated throughout the year at both the Sunday and Wednesday services and occasionally in private services in the chapel.
